Proposed National Strategy for the Advancement of the Telecommunications Sector and Libyan Telecommunications Companies

This project is one of the projects that the organization is currently working on, and it is a seed of proposals, points, or items, which will be sent to all official agencies, “governmental or private” companies, and relevant bodies in its final approved version. The organization welcomes the participation of those who can benefit and contribute from various aspects. Categories: individuals, specialists, engineers, financers, experts, companies, organizations, bodies, ministries, in a technical and scientific manner, and most importantly nationally.

This proposal aims to connect everyone with everyone, to develop a general national strategy for the telecommunications sector with all its components – which does not represent just one entity – and to fill the gaps that exist between the components, companies, individuals and bodies. We aspire for this proposal to be the source of everyone’s ideas and for everyone to benefit from it to develop better communications and technology.

Contribution to this project will be through advocacy and the contributor’s understanding of what is required in the future and what currently exists “locally, globally, technically and administratively” on the ground, far from any disputes, commercial work, or orientation in favour of a specific party, as the project is entirely national and technical.

The proposed and expected time to complete the first draft is 30-45 days.

The discussion and setting of points will be via the Telegram channel, and the points will be reviewed technically, legally and administratively with special teams and will be reformulated, and then presented again to the Telegram group for approval by the contributors to this project, then sent to all sectors, governmental and private companies, bodies and organizations, for approval and consultation on what can be implemented. In cooperation with all parties.

If you would like to contribute to the project, we hope that you will send an official email containing your name, identification, and your acceptance to contribute to the project, in addition to your number or ID on the Telegram application.

In the event of contributions from companies, bodies, ministries or official bodies, we hope to correspond via an official e-mail address at info@technology.ly.

Announcement of the establishment of the Libyan Organization for Information Technology and Telecommunication

Today is the first day of founding the LOITC and with God’s help, it will not be before this day as after it, this organization was established for lofty goals and principles, for which we fought a lot, bloggers, technicians, audience, and good people in society, namely: (awareness – professionalism – neutrality – development – objectivity – transparency – ethics), and most importantly love of the homeland, and the desire to build a better society with what exists.

Our message:

#Technical_awareness_for_all, and here we are talking about all spectrums of society: individuals, institutions, governments, children and adults, companies, leaders, banks, people of determination and intellectuals, organizations and ministries… Etc.

This organization will have its mark in the world of technology, by proposing draft laws related to technology, reviewing drafts before they are approved, expressing technical and societal opinions, and monitoring the technical performance of the government, institutions, companies and banks.

The Libyan Organization for Technology is the voice of the people for better technologies and a future, and this voice is formulated in a technical, academic and advisory manner at the highest levels, to present an argument that cannot be discussed in its goals.

We aim to contain and support the most tech-savvy youth who lack technical, professional, financial and advisory support.

This organization will have a role in Libyan society, as it will strengthen its cohesion, and work to educate future generations about what is right and what exists, and how to reach what we aspire to.

We will work for the audience of customers of Libyan telecommunications companies and Libyan banks to deliver their voice according to the problem, proposal and crisis, and open channels and bridges of communication, to bridge the existing gap, bring together the views and the required services and solve the existing problems.

We are not saying that the future will be beautiful after this organization, or that it will solve all technology crises, but it will work to form links and cooperation between everyone for the sake of everyone without entering into any disputes or legal problems as much as possible, the goal is the homeland, and we will not disagree on the road, what matters to us is the result.

The organization will work on:

  • Increasing public awareness of technology and communications.
  • Educating institutions, companies and banks about what is happening in the world.
  • Contributing to the proposal and development of legislation, regulations and decisions related to technology.
  • Attracting the largest number of bright minds and paving the way for them to innovate away from institutional complexities.
  • Supporting e-government and societal transformation of technology.
  • Improving the content and image of Libya at home and abroad in regard to technology.
  • Monitor and improve civil, institutional and educational performance.
  • Support any technical civil activity that needs legal, financial or administrative cover.

We will not say we will start, but we have already started months ago, and this step is only the legal culmination of a human gathering, and the beginning of the awareness journey, not the battle of awareness.

This institution will not be an ordinary civil society institution, but we will work to make it extraordinary with the minds and work of its members and the help of its audience.

Our belief in the power of law, the power of man and the logic of technical solutions is what gives us certainty and hope as we are going, so we have no solution but to continue to spread awareness and institutional pressure with all force, and to honor the hardworking, correct the defaulter, redress the broken, and unleash the competencies that did not find companies and institutions to support them.

There are many words, ideas and theses, but we will be content with our deeds to be the best martyr.

Amin Salih
