Believing in the importance of data and its confidentiality, and out of the Libyan Technology Foundation keenness to provide the best levels of service while committing to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of user data and data, the organization’s management is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of user information and materials entered by them as a basis for the privacy policy, and the organization’s management will not disclose About that information except in accordance with the specific controls stipulated in Clause Four of this Privacy Policy (Use and Disclosure). 

1. Who collects users’ data? 

The Libyan Technology Foundation places its users and visitors at the top of its list of priorities. It makes every effort to provide high-quality service to all beneficiaries, and the privacy and confidentiality of the information described below is considered part of the terms and conditions of the Libyan Foundation’s use of information technology. Visitors to the foundation’s website and beneficiaries of its services must constantly review the privacy policy and confidentiality of information when there are any updates. The Libyan Technology Foundation is not responsible under any circumstances for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exceptional damages arising from the use or inability to use this site. If you follow a link to a service provided by the Libyan Technology Foundation, this entity will be:  

  • Data Controller. 
  • You are responsible for the processing of any data you share with them. 
  • Responsible for publishing and managing their own privacy notice with details on how to contact them. 
2. What data is collected? 
  • Questions, inquiries, notes or comments that you leave, including your email address when you make an inquiry or request information about a specific service or if you give additional information using any of the means of communication with the foundation, whether electronic or non-electronic, such as requesting an inquiry on our website, we will use your email address to respond to your inquiries. It is also possible to save your email address, your message, and our respond to it for quality control or legal purposes. 

  • Your email address and subscription preferences when you sign up for our email alerts if applicable.

  • The Libyan Technology Foundation does not store your personal information. We will not identify you through contact information or Google Analytics, and we will not combine analytics information with other data sets in a way that identifies you. Data from analytics and others is collected for quality and improvement purposes only and we continually monitor our data protection controls to ensure they are effective and to detect and fix any vulnerabilities.

    • The pages you visit on the foundation’s website.

    • What you click on while visiting the website. 
3. What is the purpose of collecting data? 

We collect data for: 

  • Knowing how you use the website and its electronic services, to ensure that it meets the user’s needs. 

  • Making improvements (for example improving site search). 

  • Collect feedback to improve our services, for example our email alerts contain content rating and service rating links. 

  • Responding to any comments you send to us, if you ask us to do so. 

  • Send email alerts to users who have subscribed. 

  • Providing you with information about various services. 

  • Monitor site usage to identify security threats. 

4.What are user rights? 

The user has the right to access and modify his personal data, and the Libyan Technology Foundation is committed to preserving the privacy of the data of its website users: 

  • Beneficiaries of the Libyan Technology Foundation’s services must continuously review the privacy policy to check for any updates.  

  • The Libyan Technology Foundation is committed to notifying site visitors of any update to the privacy policy by placing an explanation at the top of the page with the date of the update and the section in which it was made. 

  • The Libyan Technology Foundation is committed not to disclose any personal information about you unless you voluntarily choose to disclose it, as this information is not used for a purpose other than what the information was collected for.
