    Today, the third preparatory meeting of the Advisory Committee was held to continue developing the themes and program for the first edition of the Informatics Governance Forum, which will take place alongside the celebrations of the National Information Technology Day 2025.

    The meeting brought together representatives from several specialized national entities, including:
    General Information Authority
    National Information Security and Safety Authority (NISSA Libya) – represented by the Director of the Legal Department
    Ministry of Communications and Informatics – Libya – represented by the Chairman’s Delegate and the Head of the Experts Office
    Internet Society Libya Chapter (ISOC Libya)
    Along with a distinguished group of independent experts specializing in policies, regulations, and e-payment systems.

    Discussions focused on finalizing the forum’s agenda, selecting keynote speakers and local and international guests, and organizing the institutional participation from various sectors. The aim is to ensure that the forum addresses community needs and contributes to the development of effective digital policies and regulations.

    These preparatory meetings are a cornerstone for shaping a forum that reflects the aspirations of diverse stakeholders in the fields of communications and informatics, while strengthening the foundations of effective governance in Libya.

    The Libyan Technology Foundation reaffirms its full commitment to supporting this national initiative and providing the professional environment necessary to launch a forum that advances the governance of information technology and the internet according to international best practices.
    The Foundation also emphasizes that the doors for cooperation and development remain open to all stakeholders eager to contribute to this important national endeavor.
