IT Leaders Celebration …

The driving force for change and innovation, towards building a future for Libya in the technical worlds, the National Technology Day adopted the celebration of information technology leaders with a proposal submitted by the “Libyan Organization for Information Technology and Telecommunication” to the Government of National Unity in mid-April 2021, to adopt the first of June as a national day and a national occasion to celebrate information technology throughout Libya, and it was approved by decision 79 of 2021, during the National Information Technology Day, a number of activities related to this occasion will be organized, to raise awareness of the possibilities that The use of technology and other ICTs will provide them to societies and economies, and in ways to bridge the digital divide.

With a proposal submitted by the “Libyan Organization for Information Technology and Telecommunication” to the Government of National Unity in mid-April 2021, to adopt the first of June as a national day and a national occasion to celebrate information technology throughout Libya, and approved by decision 79 of 2021, a number of activities related to this occasion will be organized during the National Technology Day, to raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of technology and other information and communication technologies can provide to various societies and economies, and ways to bridge the digital divide.

About the event

The National Day will revolve around a set of activities, workshops, dialogue meetings, and the opening of exhibitions to publicize local information technology projects and companies, and awareness of the importance of technology and information security for citizens, in addition to the activities of companies and institutions, and seeks to create opportunities for cooperation and networking, and spread technical awareness within the territory of the country, all concerned with technology and its consequences, as the “Libyan Organization for Information and Communication Technology” will hold the event in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and the various starting points will be with a target of more than 100 sites in 20 cities around Libya, with different clusters in many centers such as student unions, schools and universities, training centers and municipalities, private and public companies, government institutions, co-working spaces, and various technical clusters.
