LTF contributes to addressing vital issues in the telecommunications sector
The Libyan Technology Foundation welcomes Statement No. (4) issued by the Alliance of Telecommunications Company Unions on Saturday, November 1, 2025, which expressed a responsible spirit and a sound institutional approach in addressing vital issues concerning the telecommunications sector in Libya.
The statement’s emphasis on transparency, dialogue, and collaboration among stakeholders reflects a high level of professional and union awareness and embodies a collective will to restore institutional balance and achieve fairness among employees in the sector—serving the public interest and advancing national progress in technological and communication infrastructure.
The Foundation also commends the positive step represented by the Libyan Holding Company’s Board of Directors Decision No. (29) of 2025, which suspended Decision No. (25) and established a neutral technical committee for review. This move is a long-awaited reform initiative and a direct outcome of dialogue and rapprochement between official and labor entities—an approach the Libyan Technology Foundation has sought to promote since the beginning of the crisis.
The Foundation reaffirms its full support for every national effort that aims to strengthen the culture of collective work and to engage all stakeholders in shaping the future of the telecommunications sector, including professional unions, public companies, independent experts, and specialized civil society organizations.
In conclusion, the Libyan Technology Foundation emphasizes that constructive dialogue and genuine intent for reform are the best means to achieve balance between institutional development requirements and the interests of employees. What has been achieved today is the result of shared responsibility and national cooperation, credited to all who contributed with a spirit of public interest.
