The Organization translates OpenSignal’s reports
The Libyan Information and Communications Technology Organization contacted OpenSignal – an independent analytics company specializing in determining mobile network experience – to translate their report, which analyzed the networks of Libyan telecommunications companies Libyana and Al-Madar Al-Jadid in seven indicators. The aim of this partnership was to translate the report prepared by OpenSignal published in March. Last October, and cooperation in the future on processing the metadata of OpenSignal’s outputs and drafting and preparing them in quarterly reports in Arabic and English issued by the organization, to be published by OpenSignal as well.
This report brought very impressive results for Al-Madar Al-Jadeed Company, as it outperformed Libya in the third quarter of 2020 in all indicators, namely: uploading, downloading, audio, games, video, coverage, and quality availability; While Libyana surpassed Al-Madar Company in the 4G coverage speed rating in the capital, Tripoli.
The study was conducted on 35,554 devices, and the number of measurements was approximately 112 million, and the study was in the period between June 1 and August 29 of 2020.
