How are the Chairman of the Board, Vice Chairman, and Financial Supervisor selected?
The Board of Trustees announces the opening for nominations to the new Board of Directors 180 days before the current board’s term ends and closes the nominations 90 days before the end of the term. The names of the nominees are submitted to the commission within a week of the closing of nominations, and the list is posted at the foundation’s headquarters or on its website for at least 15 days. The Board of Trustees elects the new members in a regular meeting and informs the commission of their names within 15 days of the election. Subsequently, the Board of Directors holds a meeting to elect the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Financial Supervisor in the presence of a commission representative. Candidates for these positions must demonstrate leadership, appropriate academic qualifications, experience in the field, familiarity with the foundation’s goals, financial and accounting expertise, and good relationships with relevant parties.
