Libyan Technology Foundation Participates in National AI Strategy Meeting in Libya (2026)
The National AI Strategy Meeting Libya marks a key milestone in advancing artificial intelligence and digital transformation efforts.
Libyan Technology Foundation, represented by its Chairman of the Board and Executive Director, participated in the expanded meeting hosted by the General Information Authority in Tripoli on April 26, 2026. The meeting was held under the patronage of the Minister of State for Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence and included several national entities involved in developing Libya’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025–2030.
The Foundation’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at advancing digital transformation, strengthening governance frameworks for emerging technologies, and enhancing partnerships between the public sector, private sector, academic institutions, and civil society organizations. This collaboration aims to ensure a structured transition from strategy development to practical implementation.
During the meeting, the National Artificial Intelligence Charter—prepared by the General Authority for Communications and Informatics—was reviewed. The charter outlines key principles related to ethics, transparency, and AI governance, serving as a foundational pillar for implementing the national strategy.
The Libyan Technology Foundation commends the efforts of all national stakeholders, particularly the Ministry of State for Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence, the General Authority for Information, and the General Authority for Communications and Informatics, along with all participating partners in this national initiative.
The Foundation reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that leverage artificial intelligence as a strategic tool for development, improving service quality, enhancing the digital economy, and building a knowledge-based, responsible, and inclusive technological ecosystem that serves Libya’s interests and strengthens its position in the regional and global digital landscape.
