The Libyan Foundation for Technology held its regular administrative review meeting, bringing together board members and foundation staff, alongside the participation of a representative from the Benghazi branch. The meeting aimed to review and evaluate the progress made in implementing the 2026 annual plan, as well as to define priorities and next steps for the remainder of the year.

This review comes within the framework of the foundation’s institutional approach to continuously measure performance and track target implementation. The evaluation covered 75 key performance indicators (KPIs) distributed across 7 primary strategic goals, recording an overall overall achievement rate of 54.18% to date.

The completion rates were distributed across the seven strategic goals as follows:

• Enhancing the foundation’s national role in digital transformation.
• Boosting the readiness of Libyan institutions for digital transformation through policy and standards development.
• Developing and activating a network of sustainable local and international partnerships.
• Expanding the foundation’s geographic footprint within Libya.
• Improving institutional performance, governance, transparency, and internal capacity building.
• Empowering Libyan youth and preparing future technology leaders.
• Raising public awareness of cybersecurity and digital transformation.

Developments and New Initiatives: The meeting featured a presentation of strategic adjustments and newly introduced initiatives added to the foundation’s operational portfolio to support its executive plan, most notably:

• International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Membership: Securing membership to open international networking channels and expand global cooperation opportunities, enhancing the foundation’s presence without direct financial dependence.
• Transparency Platform Project: Introducing this project as a new strategic initiative in collaboration with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Implementation Authority.

Empowering Young Talent: Additionally, several trainees from the foundation’s Vocational Training Program attended the meeting to gain direct exposure to professional decision-making processes, performance tracking, and meeting management, ensuring they gain practical workplace experience beyond theoretical training.

The Libyan Foundation for Technology continues to execute its remaining approved programs and initiatives while addressing identified gaps to complete all development benchmarks before the end of the year.
